This Meeting’s Topic : ArchiCAD & Advanced Geometries – A Review of Shapeshifter

opaMeeting Agenda
– 6:00 to 6:10 : Wine & Cheese
– 6:10 to 7:00 : Luke Ogrydziak of OPA
– 7:00 to 8:00 : ArchiCAD User Q&A Session

Luke Ogrydziak, principal of OPA, will share insights from OPA’s award winning Shapeshifter project in Reno, Nevada and how technology was used from conceptual design through construction. In this presentation he will discuss how they used both Rhino (base geometry) and ArchiCAD (BIM) to create an improved workflow.

The Shapeshifter house is a 4,900sf project that began with a wide range of loose, conceptual surface model studies in Rhino with Grasshopper and then transitioned to ArchiCAD for documentation and BIM coordination. Founded in 2004, OPA is an award winning globally recognized architectural firm based in San Francisco that specializes in advanced geometries.
