ModelPort supports a wide range of popular 3D file formats including OBJ, FBX, SKP, and 3DS, ensuring compatibility with many modeling software tools and libraries. We are constantly improving and expanding our loaders, ensuring that you can choose the most appropriate source models for your projects.

Yes, we provide a free demo version of the addon so you can experience its features and benefits before making a purchase decision. There are two limitations in the demo: a watermark on the 3D model and restricted saving.

You can activate ModelPort with one of the following three license types: 

Standard license:

  • Allows only one user to access ModelPort on a single computer
  • Recommended for individuals and solopreneurs

Floating license:

  • Allows a group of users to share ModelPort, but only up to the number of licenses purchased
  • Cost-effective for situations where multiple users need to access the software, but not all at the same time

Switch license:

  • A special license for a single user
  • Can be moved between two specific machines, like a home and office computer.

You can register for a free Viewer license. With the viewer license, ModelPort stays in demo mode but it won’t ask for activation whenever Archicad starts. It is for viewing ModelPort objects created with an active subscription by your team or consultants.

To manage the licenses associated with your email address, log in to your My Account page. You can track the status and expiry date of your licenses.

You’ll get a notification when starting the ModelPort application if a new version is available for download so you’ll always have the latest version, independent of when you bought your license. There is no additional charge to update your version of ModelPort as long as you have an active subscription.

ModelPort is compatible with Archicad from version 21 to the latest version and with multiple versions of Mac and Windows OS. Otherwise, ModelPort’s system requirements are the same as what your current Archicad version specifies.
