Opportunity
We currently have an immediate opening for a JOB CAPTAIN. This office-centric position will be based out of our El Dorado Hills office. The JOB CAPTAIN will work with DESIGNERS and Design-Build Program Managers to further the design scope of our projects through design development, construction documents and then support field construction. This person is reliable, has integrity and values producing quality work. Above all, this person must have strong ethical standards and be able to fulfill client commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and refine 3-D models for client presentations and contract drawings
- Prepare detailed construction documents, while ensuring accuracy and original design intent
- Produce complete and precise millwork drawings of high-end commercial furniture and fixtures
- Verify details such as windows, door locations, and ADA compliance
- Manage design changes, revisions, review submittals, RFIs and organize drawing files accordingly
Requirements
- A four-year degree (or its equivalent in work experience) in Interior Design or Architecture
- Expert in AutoCAD, SketchUp and MS Office; working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Advanced skills in layout and rendering 3D models
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable building codes and ADA regulations
- Experience creating construction documents, furniture drawings and specifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of commercial interior design experience

Salary range $60,000 to $75,000 annually, compensation level dependent upon experience.
