Information on Recent Update

List of Improvements and New Features

  • Added: Menu by MVO to control detail level with Saved Views (AC23 and above only)
  •  Fixed: (ony AC26 OSX version on Intel CPU with AMD graphics) ModelPort can not draw the 3d viewport.
  • Improved: ModelPort gives a warning message before loading the 3d file in case the file is empty (maybe the file is in online mode).
  •  Changed: Text of the Warning dialog “SketchUp loader not loaded” changed.
  •  Changed:: ModelPort menu “ModelPort Editor…” not just opens but toggles now the ModelPort Editor (closes it in case it was already opened).
  •  Fixed: Preferences Color “Tool Guides” and “Tool Texts” are in old style format.
  •  Fixed: While creating the library part in GDL mode the imported geometry is generated according to the actual ModelPort display level (it should be a Full geometry).
  •  Improved: Item List right click context menu shows the “Select” > “All Meshes”, “All Material” commands on scene items too.
  •  Added:    New Select All commands for Item List context menu: “Select” > “All Cameras”, “All Textures”
  •  Improved: ModelPort doesn’t generate the full Item List after scene load, only for the items visible inside the item list. In case of scenes with extreme amount of items it can speed up scene opening or changing selection mode drastically.
  •  Improved: in case the same scene file was already opened in the ModelPort editor, plugin gives options to Reload the scene or open a new scene.
  •  Improved: the input dialog for the on-view changeable parameters (dimension, library part name) opens near to the mouse position.
  •  Added: “Insert at Hotspot” control to the Library part. Allows the user to set the Hotspot position the library part will be inserted at in Archicad.
  •  Added: “Default Insert at Hotspot” button – to set the default “Insert at Hotspot” from the actual setting.
  •  Improved: Floor view shows the Hotspots and also the Insert Hotspot (similarly to the Archicad “2Object Default Settings” dialog).
  •  Added: Small info text under the Texture preview which shows the size and channel parameters of the loaded texture.
  •  Improved: Texture display inside the ModelPort views can be much nicer now (especially with high frequency textures).
  •  Improved: GDL script generation is quicker. Depends on the object but can reach the 30% (measured on Windows system).
  • Fixed: In case the ModelPort detail level is Simplified or Schematic the imported part floorview draw is also in Simplified/Schematic mode (instead of full mode).
  • Fixed: in case the size of the ModelPort generated library part changes during update, the base dimension values of the placed library objects are not updated.
  • Fixed: in case the size of the ModelPort generated library part changes during update and the part is the active part in the Object Tool, sometimes the default width/height values of the part go wrong.
  • Fixed: “Set and activate Object Tool after import” works in overwrite mode too
  • Improved: in previous versions it was possible to accidentally overwrite existing library part(s) without any warning from the plugin. It happened in the situation when the user imported the new library part into a local folder and inside that local folder there was already a library part with the same name. In case the folder was not linked to Archicad before the import process, ModelPort was not able to recognize this overwrite situation. Now it can see it and it switches to overwrite mode in this case.
  • Fixed: (FBX Loader) files with negative (X,Y,Z)-up axis systems are loaded with positive (X,Y,Z)-up orientation.
  • Improved: ModelPort can use the new Attribute control popup style of Archicad 26 (currently only for material attributes).
  • Added: (AC26 and above only) New user controllable preference -> ModelPort Preferences > General > UI > Material popup style
  •  Improved: License Activation dialog doesn’t allow to go forward with activation in case the License Key is not 12 characters long.
  • Fixed: AC materials created from ModelPort materials have wrong Horizontal/Vertical sizes in case the ModelPort material Texture Placement Wrap U/V value is not 1.0.
  • Changed:: mouse wheeling inside the ModelPort 3d views has a stronger zooming effect now.
